2023 Oxford EMI Self-Access Course Registration
To enhance the quality of EMI teaching for teachers, the Center offers faculty Oxford EMI Self-Access online courses:
Oxford EMI Self-Access Course
- This course is designed to stimulate innovative thinking in EMI classroom management and task assignment, and to identify ideas that are suitable for teaching EMI.
- The course provides conceptual enhancement of four main skills, including (1) interactive teaching (2) the use of the medium of instruction and strategies for assessing students' English proficiency (3) the use of the "IRF" (Initiation-response-feedback) framework to promote interaction in the classroom, and (4) the enhancement of EMI teaching to a higher level of thinking and learning, as well as the integration of international students into the classroom.
- Estimated study hours: 40 hours
