1. Dates: 16:00-18:00, Wednesdays from March 23 to June 1, 2022 【Orientation: Wednesday, March 23】
2. Specialist:  Dr. Chiung-Yao (Carolyn) Ho, Professor & Founding Faculty, English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), Lone Star College- CyFair, Cypress, Texas
3. Participant: 40 university faculty members 
4. Enrollment: March 7-18 

5. Implementation: 
(1) Each teacher performs a 15-minute micro-teaching (i.e., his or her teaching demonstration being observed by the Specialist). A maximum of 4 teachers can be arranged every Wednesday during the project duration.
(2) The microteaching can be presented either by providing a 15-minute pre-recorded video or in the form of in-person teaching demonstration for 15 minutes. 
(3) An EMI classroom observation form will be provided for reference before microteaching. 
(4) The Specialist will give advice on the microteaching to help improve teachers’ EMI teaching skills. 
(5) A faculty member of our university will be invited to act as the moderator in each session.

6. Incentives to NSYSU faculty: 
(1) 0.1 point is counted in the faculty promotion when each microteaching is performed.
(2) Microteaching is an element of EMI professional development program, which is one of the required conditions in the election of superior/ excellent teaching awards.
