(05.14-07.06) Online EMI Workshop
The workshop sessions are of the Entry, Junior, and Senior levels in the EMI Professional Development Program, respectively. There is no request for the order of participation at each level. All sessions are held virtually. The details of the workshops are outlined as follows:

Session 1: Introduction to EMI
Session 2: EMI Strategies and Language Use
Session 3: EMI Design and Assessment
[Junior] 14:00-17:00, Fridays from June 10 to June 24
Session 1: Innovative Pedagogy for EMI and Model Lessons
Session 2: Discussion and Scaffolding Strategies for EMI Instructors
Session 3: English Snacks: Bite-sized Tips to Improve English Skills and Confidence
[Senior] 14:00-16:00, Wednesdays on June 29 and July 6
Session 1: Strategies for EMI Peer Mentoring
Session 2: Professional Class Observation Skills
*Google Meet links will be sent to participants before each session of the workshops.
*The workshops are the main components of Entry, Junior, and Senior Levels in the EMI Professional Development Program. In addition, teachers who plan to obtain the certificate of each level still have to attend EMI teacher community gatherings, conduct a microteaching/ class observation, and serve as a peer mentor, designated in each level.
*For NSYSU faculty members, the attendance record for the EMI workshops is one of the required conditions in the election of superior/ excellent teaching awards.
*PhD students are encouraged to participate in this program.
